In my ears : Sergei Babayan’s Rachmaninoff

I have been listening all weekend to this exquisite CD by Sergei Babayan, mixing some of Rachmaninov’s Préludes, Études-Tableaux and Moments musicaux. They are not in their usual order, which really adds to the experience. I sometimes felt as if I was rediscovering some pieces, as one just flows to the other very naturally. Babayan plays lyrically, passionately, in a very moving way. Simply beautiful and very highly recommended.
